I notice the price of oil has dropped by roughly 13.5% over the past week.
As prices at the forecourt seem to shoot up at the mere sniff of an oil price increase, can we assume that we are now in line for a price drop ?

They like to wait a few weeks claiming they are selling the "expensive" stuff they just bought a few weeks back.

Certainly not like that when the price rises the change is immediate.

Generally the fuel that forecourts purchase can come from stock sitting in a storage distribution depot that was produced weeks before hand. So the fuel may not have been produced/refined at the exact time of the current market price of oil.

True as i said above but when the price goes up the effect is immediate, not so when the price goes down.

The dollar has rose too against the euro recently so that needs to be taken into account too.

113.92 (which is really 114) down from 116.6.

116.6 was crap...the Shell where I top up has been at 116.9 headline price for about 3 weeks...Apple Green also but at 112.9 for the first €30 with a car wash.
