Meltdown Nye - Dublins Biggest Twisted Disco Returns

After last years mammoth sell out show that saw over 700 revelers take to Dublins temple bar music centre for an unforgettable night, Meltdown returns this year to the much loved McGruders on Thomas Street. With its many rooms and its wide variety of different music on offer McGruders will be the perfect setting for what is sure to another New years bash not to be missed. Hosted by Acii Disco and Mixed Salad who have planned a Dublin city carnival and real feast for the senses. On offer will be 3 rooms of music over 2 floors and a heating smokers delight cinema experience in the garden, a very welcome addition on any dirty Dublin night in December. The line up will feature a whos who of Dublin's club scene who will join forces to provide the soundtrack to the last few hours of a fantastic 2007 and to the first few messy hours of 2008. Exciting times...

Acii Disco Club

After a short break from their renowned Saturday night the Acii Disco crew is back to kick off the first of there many parties planned for 2008. The lads will be hosting the main event in the upstairs room for a truly twisted night of big room Acii grooves. The line up will feature Acii Disco residents Al Keegan, Jonathan Woods, Brian Cairns and David Hargadon alongside heavy hitters Sourcecode (aciitonedigital) Switzerlands finest Oleg Troshock and a very first for Acii Disco, Electric City and Pogo resident Eddie Brennan. Expect the much loved Acii sound all night long with an unique hi octane atmosphere.

Bumpin Box Room

A relitively new and very welcome addition to McGruders is the Bumpin box room, its a room that does exactly what is says on the tin. With Bumpin grooves its a much more intimate affair, this room will feature more of Dublin's brightest stars for 2008 with energy unmatched even by that of a box of duracell bunnies. The line up will feature Aron "GTAC" Nolan, Phil long, Sean Hendrix, Rob Murphy, Robbie Ryan, Jay "Whoopie" Grogan, Simon F and from Belfast the long awaited return of Ken Maze aka Sinister Indsutry.

The Bar - Bangers and MashUp

The bar will feature a mish mash of styles and musical experiences ranging from nostalgic 80s pop to new age dancefloor rock and electro club bangers. Its always a fun filled affair thats sure to encourage many a sing along throughout the night. The line up features some of Dublin's most respected mash up DJs including Mardiva, Nic James Lyonseytron, Blisscotheque, Sketchcraft and The Mighty Deadbots Live.

Smokers Delight Cinema Experience

Another added extra that is sure to add to the fun will be the addition of a heated outdoor cinema in the garden, aimed at those who enjoy the buzz of the smoking area and the late night babbling conversation with a stranger it will be a refuge of magical delight. With comfort being the main aim, it will feature screenings of classic movies throughout the event with full sound on a big screen.

So its already sounding like a great start to the new year so heres a few things you will need to know if you plan on celebrating with us, -

The event will be a ticket ONLY event with limited tickets available, last years show sold out nearly 2 days prior to the event with nearly double the amount of tickets available so i would advise anyone interested to get a ticket as early as possible to avoid dissapointment.

Tickets are priced at 20e plus booking fee and can be bought from Spindizzy records and Big Brother records.

Tickets will go on sale from Friday December 7th. Doors for the event will open at 8pm.
