Fault mis-reporting?

if i report a fault in service to a company and they take notes and log the fault and then i find out the fault was logged as something completely different on their computer system is there anything i can do about this? it is unlikely to be an error as the same fault was reported as at least three different unrelated…

it is unlikely to be an error as the same fault was reported as at least three different unrelated issues.

do many companies use these creative methods to control their fault reporting?
