You know the nut and bolt that is used to tighten the clips on to the battery terminals in a car (the bolt has a square head)? Are they readily available in motor factors as mine are basically rotten?

    Thanks.

    Yes.
Motor factors might have to sell you a new terminal clamp complete but it won't be expensive and will be handy to swap the new bolt onto the old one.

While you're at it, get a tub of vaseline and liberally smear the terminals and connectors when you're done. That will protect them from acid corrosion in the future. If there's a chalky build up on them, hot water will wash it right off.

Cheers for that, the turbo is almost back on the road now! :)

Be sure to keep the vaseline in the glove compartment. You never know - it might come in handy! ;)

depending on the car but most are 8mm nuts and any nut will do, the whole clamp can be expencive though, ( for what it is), ive seen plaves selling them for 15quid a piece and not all are as simple to fit as screwing them on, some are crimped onto the wires and makes things a littl more difficult if you dont have access to tools., coke is great for removing the corrosion you get on the terminals aswell.,
