Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sure Roma will play the second string as well.

    Roma to win 3-0.

    Rangers V Lyon Lyon :(

I have to be honest here and say i really dont givve a rats ass about the rest this week, my minds only got space for the gers game.
unfortunately i really dont think well do it.
Historically we have started well in the CL and faded towards the end...the same is happening this time.

Darcheville is missing, Cousin doesnt look like he gives a ****, naismith has a lot to learn at this level and boyd is no good as a lone striker (which we will inevitably be playing with)

The midfield is ok, but we will miss the pace of Beasley...we really need Fergie to step up this time.

The defence has been solid all season, but Davie wier is really showing his age and looks knackered...with Juninho falling over every time he gets into our half i reckon hell bang in one of his trademark free kicks and leave us looking athe Uefa cup.

That said the atmosphere will be electric at ibrox on wednesday and you just never know in football....i just dont have a good feeling about it.

Lyon playing 5 attack minded players. Rangers going with easily their most defensive lineup this season.

could see a lot of goals in this rangers game yet. Rangers look jittery. Lyon must have had a shocker when the played rangers at home

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

united are playing very well indeed. seems like there is not many at this game. u can actually hear the united fans clearly enough at times and there is only 1200 of them there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 570 ✭✭✭BrandonBlock

No-one mentioned Arsenal 1-0 up - diaby. I had to go and check teletext! Hope those united fans aren't too seriously hurt.

All to Lyon unless Walter grows a pair of balls. Disgraceful team selection for a home game. Whitaker is an attacking right back who Walter plays as a winger. McCullogh is a combative player for the other side. Hemdani is a really defensive holding midfielder. Thomson is a holding midfielder. Ferguson is a general box to box player. Then they've got Cousin up front on his own. At bloody home. Against Barca at least Novo and Adam played as well as Cousin. Tonights lineup is giving up before you begin.

2-0 To Arsenal now at half time. Bendtner with the second, nice finish and nice pass from Van Persie. They aren't doing half bad for themselves so far with all the youngsters in the team

Well Rangers now have to score to have any chance of qualifying, so 20 mins to go I expect both Boyd and D'Archville on and 20 mins of balls punted up to them.

Actually he's just stuck Naismith on for Cousin.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,013 ✭✭✭✭eirebhoy

Not suprised. Cousin has been very poor.

Eto'o finds the net for Barca, they winning 2-1

Yeh seriously, Setanta sound was seriously messed up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Eagles came close there, you just notice the difference between Nani breaking and Ronaldo breaking, he's still a while away from anywhere near that quality yet.

Have Roma fielded a weakened eleven too?

Is it weakened to the extent of ManYoo's?

  • Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 12,739 Mod ✭✭✭✭cournioni

They seem to have a fairly strong 11 out, maybe two or three left out but their first teamers have come off the bench now...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41,926 ✭✭✭✭_blank_

    Jaysis Saha.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭StickyMcGinty

barca 3-1 up, Ronny with the 3rd, neat sliding finish from about 8 yards out.

Arsenal looking like finishingtop of the group too. and more good news for them with Van Persie back..

EDIT: woops, steua pull one back
