Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Q about removing outlook attachments

    Hi there,

We all know about the 2GB pst quota...therefore users need to trim down their mailbox now and again. If a user were to remove size hogging attachments from emails WITHOUT saving the attachments first, are they gone-gone? The text from a site belows assumes that you have saved your attachments.

Delete Attachments from Messages in Outlook
Now that the attached files are save, you can remove them from the messages in Outlook.

To delete attachments from messages in Outlook:

Double-click on the desired message to open it in its own window.
Click on the attachment you want to remove with the right mouse button.
    Select Remove from the menu.
    Close the message window.
Click OK in the Do you want to save changes? dialog.

    Many thanks.

it's only 2GB in older versions of outlook and if you have an exchange server 2003 or earlier the CAL allows you to the latest version of outlook which allows bigger pst's

there are a lot of apps that allow you to export attachments and leave a link to in the empty email www.slipstick.com

if the user has deleted the email then it's lost
if they haven't yet compacted it then you can make a copy of the pst and trim off the last few KB off it or otherwise corrupt the file, then run scanpst on it , you just might get lucky and recover the deleted email
