It wasn't for cheating or anything like that other lad.. Since the update your were allowed have a bio thing which I wasn't really interested in, I just put down my name, location and the word c*nt as I use that word when im playing a game like "ah c*unt" if I die or something.. Just the email said someone reported me and ive now been suspended lol!

They said they sent me a message but I cant find it on the dashboard nor the xbox website when you sign into your account there so I don't know how long ive been suspended for?

Just really posted this to say if anyone on here has something like that on yout profile delete before you get suspened :rolleyes:

Yea but think about it, its there and not doing anyone harm its your own choice to read it or not! Unlike if I was using it against other players then you would have every right to bash me but I don't! I play properly and not like a "retard" in games.

They should have a rule where you have to be over 18yrs to view over 18yrs profiles and you cant report unless its got to do with racism/porn/advertising or something thats actually inappropriate!

Its just funny someone saw it and went to the hassle of reporting me for one word.. lol All of the inappropriate stuf on xbox live everyday.. just mine seems a bit stupid. I probably pissed someone off playing Kane and Lynch cause thats the last game I was playing!

Just waiting now for an email from them telling me how long im suspended for.

Not sure what your reasoning is, it's very unlikely someone reported you, more than likely just an active monitor on banned words.

I didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to use profanity in their profile, or a need to warn them, but I guess thats what you're bringing to our attention here...

TBH I dont think there is much you can do. Much like here on boards when your banned your only option is to sit and wait out your ban as you broke the charter (or in xbox lives case their usage terms & conditions)

personally i think you were very hard done by given some of the stuff you hear and read while playing but you were unlucky

On an unrelated note, I wrote the word c*nt on the dirt on my car becauseI think it's cool and it's a word I use all the time.

Just went on the xbox forum it seems alot of people are getting suspended for this! The thing is people are getting suspended for having mottos such as

"Nintendo is better"
"I win you lose"
"popping smoke" from cod4

Its doesn't matter what you have if enough people report you you get suspended its all done by computer!

My suspension is lifted today should be sometime in the morning, is there an option like on myspace bebo etc etc to block people from viewing your profile if there not your friend?

There's a time and a place. Most wouldn't want to see the C-word displayed in 10 foot high letters on the side of a bus - it's a public space, and not everyone shares your enthusiasm for vulgarity. XBox Live! is also a public space, and one accessed by children of all ages.

Really, this sums up what's wrong with Xbox Live. Too many users are too immature, too inconsiderate or too apathetic of others, and so the whole service is hi-jacked by the loud, abnoxious minority.

I read an interesting suggestion on one of the game blogs today: Microsoft should match users according to their age. I'd go one further, and endeveour to match users according to their mental age.

I don't swear or use any vulgarity on xbox live while playing games with other people its the little kids and Americans that do that! The other day I was playing kane and lynch and some kid got killed by someone else and for the next 10 minutes he abused his mother!? Are grouping me with these people!? Know someone who created a profile with a very racist name, and spent a day screaming racial slurs in halo 3. He didn't get his account banned at all, he just had to change his name, wtf?!!! And his bio.... all the curse words were left unchanged XD

The bottom-line is that your use of swear words was not limited to your friends - you used what many consider to be the most vulgar swear word on your public bio. People clearly took offense, and reported you for it. I fail to see the great injustice.

I don't think anybody has a problem using swear words amongst friends - I'm quite the foulmouth myself around my mates. However, putting words like that on a publicly accessible space just smacks of ignorance and immaturity.
