Hyundai Getz Vs Peogeot 206

    THe missus is thinking of buy a small secound hand car. probably 04 GEtz or 03 Peogeot 206.

    Which one do you think would be better. Drives about 30 miles a day

    The Peugeot will handle better (as in it's more fun to drive hard), but the Getz is easier to drive due to its unobtrusive gearchange and better placed and wider spread pedals.
    Getz has a very good driving position and the seat has lots of adjustment.
    Performance on either 1.1 engine is pretty similar.

    As Colm says, the Getz has a much more comfortable driving position (the 206 can get very uncomfortable after a while). If you're the type that gets a car seviced in main dealers then you'll find that Peugeot dealer service pricing is on the hefty side. They also have a curious tendency to shrink the service intervals also so your 20,000 mile/30,000 km service interval is ignored and you're told that the next service is due in 12k or so. Getz is due for replacement and 206 has already been replaced. See honestjohn.co.uk for known faults on both models
