    hi just wondering does anybody know what new years eve is like on Inishmore. Planning on renting a house with eight of my friends and just wondering would it be worthwhile! Thanks

    I have been there for two New Years' Eves..had a mad time both times, but I have good friends who live there.

    There are a lot of house parties, people dropping by. One year a small plane from USA ran out of fuel and thought it would emergency land..problem was there was a blackout. A ton of Islanders headed down to the runway with the cars to light it! Yer man made it to Shannon with a gallon to spare in the end.
    Good craic, but I was only in the local for one.
