    Hi all.

Where is the best place to get a metal number plate around the D2,4,6 areas of Dublin. Stopped in a couple of places and they only do the Plastic ones...

    Thanks

They are called pressed (metal) number plates. Why not try windsor motors or one of the MSL Dealers, they put them on their cars as standard and am sure could make you a set if you asked nicely. Will cost a few bob more but worth it as perspex ones are cr@p.

Maybe a daft question but the girlfriend has just imported her car and is looking to get new plates on her motor. Her brother works in a garage so no probs there you would think. I have noticed that on a lot of the 07 cars around Dundalk/Drogheda have a different kind of font to the ones from pre 07. Is there some sort of standard font that came in last year? They can't surely all be people doing their own fonts as there are too many of them. The brother in the garage thought I was cracked, he didn't know what the hell I was going on about! Anyone got any ideas on it at all?
