What time of year do you apply for a masters?

And when do you know if you are accepted. I'm in my third year of college and want to go on a J1 in summer of my final year. I'll still only be 20 but it will be my last chance. However , i just realised that you need proof of a job or post-grad acceptance. I'm guessing the job has to be more than a waitressing job so I'm thinking of doing a masters. Will I know if I'm accepted in time to go ?

Applications are open now for entry next Sept, if you apply early enough you'll have a decision one way or the other fairly quick.

lol I dunno actually. I'm assuming your academic references and predicted grades. I've started my PAC application but haven't been ar$ed to finish it because I don't even know where I wanna go yet.

You'll probably get a conditional offer based on references and possibly past grades, although some places don't issue conditional offers and will just wait until your final results are out before offering you a place.
