Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Eggert Magnusson has stepped down as chairman of West Ham and sold his stake in the club.

Magnusson, who was part of the Icelandic consortium that bought the Hammers a year ago, had already quit as executive chairman earlier this year.

"Now that I need to focus a little more on my interests overseas, I think it is the right time to stand down," he said.

Owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson has become chairman and executive chairman and has bought Magnusson's 5% shareholding.

Its a total non story really, he was only the public face of the consortium and only held a 5% stake in the club. One of the other Icelandic consortium members is taking over as the chairman and figurehead of the consortium, so nothing really changes.

Still bizarre though. Oh wait, it's West Ham.

    Agreed.

Still be fun to see Mascherano to West Ham in January and another takeover attempt from Joorabchian though :D
