Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some thoughts:
Anna Friel and James Nesbitt up for a Golden Globe? Who would have thunk it...

Of the TV shows up for the main drama or comedy awards, less than half are on main networks - House, Grey's Anatomy, 30 Rock and Pushing Daisies - which seems pretty low???

Yay for Weeds, Dexter & Californication! :D I think Duchovny is a shoe-in for the comedy award. If Michael C. Hall is beaten by Hugh Laurie again though, I'll be pissed, and if 'Damages' doesn't win best drama there is no justice in the world. Only one nom for Dexter, though? Erik King should've got a supporting actor nom, whereas Brotherhood continues to get ignored completely. I never expected them to recognise it, but it's sad all the same. Season 2 was superb.

Ah I don't know, qwert.... Season 1 and 2 were better. Season 3 was very weak in places.

BSG season 3 was very weak with the exception of about half a dozen episodes. And considering there were more than 20 eps,not very good.

The Wire of course is again missing,Dexter as best show as well.

Fairly lazy choices, as usual, for the Golden Globes. I won't agree that BSG missed out as S3 had a few good episodes (most of them at the start) followed by far too many weak ones. But seriously - "Grey's Anatomy"? Ugh.

"The Wire" wasn't there because it didn't air in '06. That's the only logical reason because otherwise I'll go insane and start screaming and may never stop....

Of those that have been nominated, I wanna see:

The Wire wasn't on this year so it was never in the running in the first place. Season 4 aired in 2006, remember? Even if it was eligible it probably still wouldn't have been nominated, to be honest. I don't think it's ever been nominated for a Globe or even an Emmy.

Did the Wire not air after the last globes, meaning it should have been in the running for these ones? Maybe I'm wrong, can't remember when it did actually air,I have been rewatching the whole show so its a blur.

    Double Post.

It aired in late 2006. Finished early in December, so it was eligible for the last Golden Globe's.
