Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i played the demo and thought the visuals where stunning but not sure sure about the gameplay, im debating whether to buy it or not

On a related note i think the 360 has a serious lack of good flight sim/flying games- someone plz re-release top gun or update it!!

    advice please!:D

I have it, but I got it because I like the Ace Combat series and I own all the others on the PS1 and PS2.

As you said the graphics are great and the gameplay is exactly like the last series but with a lots more action going on at any one time. You can finish it in about 2 hours which is standard for all Ace Combat games. You wil destroy anywhere from 100-250 targets per level and you have to support ground strike team as they advance and electronic support aircraft to back you up.

It has 15 fighters and levels, the last game had 53 fighters with variants.

I like the game and it has gotten decent scores around the main review sites. Gamespot for example gave it 8.5, the same score they gave Mass Effect.

The Ace Combat series are not for everyone, arcade action with real life airframes and cheesy Japanese story lines. Its not a sim at all, even though the fighters are all real life based except the CFA-44. You fly around with 100-200 missiles plus bombs, rocket pods and cluster dispensers.

Over G was more sim based but bored most players. I liked that game aswell. I'd say Ace Combat 6 is the best flying type game on the 360.

It was a few online modes aswell but I haven't checked them out yet.
