Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hey guys.

My hair is medium length. Whenever I get out of the shower it is really wet, and I like the way it looks. It has that wet look appearance and it is all over the place in a 'messy' fashion.

Now once my hair dries, this appearance is gone. What kind of gel could i use to bring it back? I know people will suggest various 'wet look' products, but I find that though I like the wet look, it is never strong enough to keep my hair in place for any period of time

Are you implying, with the use of the above apt picture, that I should use a moose product of some description? And if so, how much do these cost and what brand would you recommend?

Have to say, I don't think the wet look looks good at all on most ppl...maybe it'd suit you I dunno!

But you could get some pomade...old school greasy stuff that stays in your hair for a couple of days.

fwiw I have found a good way of doing my hair (for a messy but dry look) is to towel dry it a bit, then put in some gel (I use L'Oreal Indestructible gel which seems to do the job), then I dry it again with the towel a good bit, and then I put in a tiny bit more gel and style it

If you use wax you'll get the messy look, it wont be wet though...but let's face it, you don't really want it to look wet all day..

Edit: Wax is tricky to use in medium length hair though, so if you do try it try to take it easy on the wax until yer used to it!

Since when did mousse provide a wet look?

OP: Personally, i don't think there's any such thing as a wet look, only a greasy look.

    Hair gel!

keeps it shiny and clumped, aka wet look!

squirt a lot of gel in your hair and work it in

or if you don't want to look like a plank, don't go for the wet look, it looks greasy and horrible

I'd go with Cianos' method for the messy look

I've tried a fair few hair products over the years, but i think the best one by far is L'oreal Radical, you can only seem to get in Tesco's, i bought 4 last week :)
