Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

windows mobile & 3 broadband

    Hi,

I have a 3 broadband account (h220 etc) to cover when my broadband @ home isn't working. Needless to say, that means I use it very little and don't use the 10Gb allowance each month.

I was wondering, can I take the 3 SIM card & put it into a windows mobile smart phone and use that to access the internet (for mail & IM) as I move about ? I've configured ppp sessions on linux & mac's to use the 3 connection, but that requires setting up the dialstring (*99#) - can the windows CE mobile dial up to the internet via a 3 broadband account ?

    thanks,
    Zef

~Tried to put my 3 sim bill pay with a broadband package into a windows smartphone, the sim would not work. I think 3 sim's are locked to 3's 3g phones. So it might not work.

3s sims dont only work in 3 phones. I'm posting this with my 3 sim in an o2 phone. It should work fine once you put the settings in

The phone would not even let me into any of the menus, it would not even "boot up"

It is a windows mobile phone.

Thats probably because your phone is locked to another operator

I had an unlocked O2 XDA Exec and used a 3 broadband SIM in it without issue.

    Try unlocking your handset.
