I met him at a function recently (just before Rugby World Cup) - in the gents. And he shook hands after relieving himself - but before washing his hands!!

I like his outspoken views but the night I met him we both agreed that the Kiwis were at least 15-20 points better than anyone else and would easily win the WC!!

I listen to him every day on Right Hook, but only because he tends to have good guests.

GH himself is a fraud IMHO. You can hear in most of the stuff he is dicussing that his knowledge is based on the research done by his team 2 hours before. You can always see which side he is supporting. Very often doesn't listen to his guests when he want;s to change the subject. Frequently fails to ask obvious questions.

And last but not least, every friday gets his a$$ kicked by Michael Graham, and then pretends he won the discussion.

ive been listening to him for over a year now on newstalk and find him far more up-beat and entertaining than his nemisis cooper ,but where did he get that feckin accent like faive bu'ahcks ,we'll be (slight wiggle) t'lkeen! and p'pey p'pey p'pey....he's head inflated majorly after he did the ,"george on the psychiatrist chair" ,and there's been no stopping he's ego since then iv'e found having listened to him before and after ,im worried his head will inflate so much he will end up orbiting the earth! unless he's given a good dose of irish begrudgery.

ah the auld "who" comment, making yourself out as if you've never heard him or don't care who he is or making him out to be not better than you....

Does anyone else find him incredibly annoying?

He is the most pessimistic, ignorant know-it-all I have ever seen!He never has anything good to say!Whether it is rugby or more recently ice skating(wtf?) he never has anything good to say...I mean whenever Ireland are playing he always says the opposing team are going to win!I just cannot stand him,why is he on our sreens??Am I the only one who thinks this of him!?

    rant over:o

No, I agree, he is a wanker, and is so anti Irish, at least it comes across this way in the rugby. When we win he blames the ref for being too hard on the opposition, and when we lose, it's a case of "I told you so."

I like Hook.. don't agree with a lot of what he says but as a presenter he's entertaining and much easier to listen to than for example, Tom (from that band) Dunne

I don't really like him as a Rugby pundit, I think he is pissed off at not getting a shot at coaching Ireland. I disagree that he is anti Irish, I think he just looks at them as a coach would and is always wanting to push them forward.

Love him on the radio though.
