    Hey Guys,

Is there anyone here fairly handy with car stereo installs, that would do a nixer and help me out? I'm half way through my install of a sub, 2x amps and front speakers, and I need to get it finished asap. I have mounted the amps in the boot, laid the power cable and RCA's etc. All I need to do is fit the front speakers, wire them, get the earth's right on the amps.

The gear I am using is as follows:
    Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P8600MP
Sub: JL 12" W6 v2: - with Auto Acoustics Stealth Box:
Speakers: Alpine SPR-17S Type R 16cm - and Dynamat Extreme Kit
    Speaker Amp: Phoenix Gold x200.2:
Sub Amp: Phoenix Gold x400.1 - with Bass Remote Knob:

The car is a 2002 Honda Civic Type R.

Photo of what is done already is here:

I just want to get it working and I can tidy up the look of it later.

I really want to get this done before some friends come home for Xmas. I has someone lined up to help but that fell through.

If anyone here can help - please give me a call on 087 2490233 and I'll happily pay you whatever you think is fair. Would love to get this competed by Thursday at the latest...

    Cheers
    Colly

are you using the existing wiring going to the doors, or are you using upgraded cables?

Definitely upgrading... I've got good quality speaker cable - very important

it's a pain of a job to route the cable from the body through the doors. I did mine a few months ago.

Are your sure your cables are upto the job, they look a little on the light side, also you should really be using better RCAs with those Xenon's.

    Maybe this will help...

    I'd be inclined to agree.

Also, that 12VDC+ should be fused closer to the battery rather than in the boot (or both). If, for any reason the live feed is pinched or pierced before the fuse in the boot, then you won't have protection and could end up with a fire  Always fuse as close to the battery as possible.

You'll more than likely need a specific iso for your peticular car to convert the connections to a standard european connection. Being an import I dont know who would stock them or if its different to the irish/uk celica connection wise but you might give halfords a try or do a bit of googling.

it's possible that the unit is working, some of those multi unit systems (had one on a Corolla) need to be all turned on for them one to work.

I'm looking for someone to install a Blaupunkt CD changer in an Alfa Romeo GT-can anyone recommend someone who would do this in the Kildare area?

I've bought the unit new from e-bay. Would a dealer or ICE specialist have any interest in doing the work?
