Cadbury's Roses - Which do you eat first?

Tis the season after all,for giant tins of chocolate. So here's my question. Upon opening a tin of Roses, which sweet do you go for first? My tastes have changed over the years somewhat. It used to be the caramel barrel, but now it's either the hazelnut whirl or the chocolate bite (the pink one).

Or if you prefer Quality Street, which one of those do you go for first?

Also, while I'm here, can anyone remember which Roses are now missing from the tin, apart from Bournville and the coffee ones?

Now that you mention the coffee ones, they were my favourite.

In my house, it was the purple caramel hazel nut one and in my friends place it was the orange and strawberry ones which were the ones left in my pace and the purple ones were left it his. So we used to visit each other and scoff the other chocs!

mmmmm im eating some right now.

the hazel purple ones would be the best but theyre shape is annoying

the strawberry ones are my fave...you have to bit off the flat but and lick the strawberry out thought mmmmm

does anyone else think its really strange that there a few caramel ones(the yellow barrel and the purple one and the green square one yet the caramel tastes slightly different....strange...

i dont like the blue one or the silver one there so boring and always a dissapointment....

    i think im SLIGHTLY obsessed...:D

The hard caramel ones in the gold wrappers.

The crappy coffee/strawberry/orange ones always get left.

I'd probably go for either the strawberry or the chocolate truffle. It's usually the fudge that gets left over.

    Hazelnut Caramel or Truffle Chunk.

I also very much miss the Coffee ones. And the Bournville. There's no dark ones at all :(

It's the opposite in my house. We should swap left overs.

Those big caramel cubes in the gold wrapper or the caramel kegs.

I wouldn't give Quality Street to my worst enemy.

Purple Hazlenut in Caramel. The best sweet ever tbh.

The the Strawberry one, and maybe an orange one.

The coffee ones are always left to last in my house. Disgusting yokes.

has to be the strawberry followed by the purple hazlenut ones for me.

Me too! Followed by one of the caramel barrels, and maybe a strawberry one

    1. Toffee (gold wrapper)
    2. Nutty Toffee (red wrapper with yellow trim)
    3. Caramel Keg
    4. Hazelnut Caramel (purple one)
    5. Hazelnut in Chocolate (purple with orange trim)

I think the orange crisp ones (orange wrapper) are nice in a kind of horrible way and I dont mind the chocolate crisp ones (pink wrapper) either, but the fudge and the snotty orange and strawberry ones always go in the bin.

Have to agree there. They're fooking rank apart from those chocolate toffee finger things. Its a sure sign someone doesn't like you when they give you Quality St for Xmas.

    The question is:
Who originally bought the Quality Street? They're obviously being forwarded around, christmas to christmas. But who actually bought them in the start.
Maybe a free gift for a Nestle employee?

    Caramel Barrels > all
Also good: strawberry, orange, the green wrapper caramelly ones. Yum.

Both of my favourites are gone: Bournville and the orange one that used to be made with dark chocolate but is now make with milk chocolate. Having said that, I'll still eat the orange one. After that it's the purple one with the caramel and the nut.

I think my mother must have managed to sneak the Roses into the house before I came home from college because I can't find them.

I used to love when people gave us the cardboards boxes of them. We became very good at taking our favourites out without opening the box. (You know, for the few days leading up to Christmas when my mum would give out if we ate them!)
