    some of my favourites are
    Dylan Moran
    Jimmy Carr
    Dara O'Brien
    Russell Howard
    Ed Byrne
    Ricky Gervais

emmmmm there's more but i can't think of them at this time

i used to love frankie boyle but he's just rude without being funny at this point in my opinion, never liked Billy Connolly

There's alot of new/fresh/young comeidans i like but they couldn't be considered the ''best comedians ever'' so i'd be going off topic if i mentioed them

I suppose its all very subjective (what isn't) and depends on whether you feel the comedian is speaking to you.

I balk in horror at the likes of Frankie Boyle but apparently many people think he's the funniest thing since sliced bread.

The only way you can get a feel for comedians is sample their live work, either at the gig or on a DVD... forget the panel shows which are intermittently amusing but mostly the wrong vehicle to showcase their talent.

I think you looked up a thesaurus or something and lost the plot. But yeah, Richard Pryor has no equal.

    For me.. Peter Kay

think his dvds are feckin hilarious n saw him in the o2 there n thot he was brilliant! keeps it simple, doesn't havta be controversial and vulgar like most comics now but he can make ya laugh at simple things like drinking tea!

and he's been rehashing the same material for years, its stuff your mam would find funny, its comedy that has a place alright, he just needs new material.

This is an excellent parody of Stewart Lee, pointing out his 'superior' style of comedy.

The only reason people couldnt have Mitch Hedberg as one of their favourite comedians is because they may not have heard of him. I simply couldnt believe how funny this guy was.

Even though there isnt much of his material on around, Zach Galifinakis is simply hilarious. I knew from watching The Hangover this guy was genuinely hilarious.

Dylan Moran, his narrations, observations and analysis are consistently hilarious and often close to the bone which makes him quite unique.

Kat Williams, his off the cuff humour and wit is just surreal.

    Chris Rock

    Dave Chappelle

I must be the only person who doesn't find Dylan Moran or Stewart Lee very funny.

Jimmy Carr will go down as one of the best of his generation.

Don't find any of those 3 funny at all.
