OP, she should try on a few pairs first. I'd say get her a voucher for an outdoors shop - the great outdoors if you are Dublin based or nearby. They are extremely overpriced on most things but when it comes to shoes they are one of the best. They know their stuff and will give advice on what would suit her best.
