    So Vlad states who his prefered sucessor is - Dmitry Medvedev (head of Gazprom) and now a week later Medvedev says (with some hinting from Vlad) Putin can be his Prime Minister.

    Makes you wonder if they'll just abondon the pretence of democracy next year and declare a dicatatorship for the people.

    We all know some dictators love there "elections", so I doubt they will give up there pretense of democracy anytime soon. Also, it would be bad for business.
