Please, anybody who thinks they may be able to help.

Ashtown pound is full, which means these dogs are in real danger. If anybody wants to give a dog a home for over Christmas please follow this link and do what you can. Some of the stories on the website are great, some would make you cry. But the people who do all this good are the exact same as you and me, they work so hard. They need our help. Please look.

Ok, please please look at that website, they have launched an urgent appeal today for foster homes. Today 2 fab rottie bitches are next to be PTS, they're 9 months old!! Surely there are animal lovers on this forum who can spare a bit of room over Christmas to give these or any of the dogs somewhere safe for a while?? It is just fostering, not adoption so the dogs are rehomed but when they are left in the pound they have very limited time. Sometimes they are sent to England, where their animal welfare laws are not as backward as ours. Sometimes they are offered a space in England but have to wait for the next ship over. This can sometimes be over two weeks. This mean that often a dog which has been offered a permanant home gets PTS beacuse the pound cant hold him that long. a foster home would save this dogs life! If you can help, please do.
