Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody any news on the current state of play with ACDC, any new material tours planned or is it retirement?

They were rumored to play Slane last year, but that obviously didn't happen. Hopefully when they release the new album, a tour will follow. We can live in hope.

They've been rumored to be playing Slane for years now but it'll never happen. It's also rumored they're making a new album too, you'll just have to wait and see.

As of January 2006, AC/DC are working on a new studio album. According to Malcolm Young, "The band are currently writing and recording material for the eagerly anticipated next album, but no release date has been set."[65] In a 2004 interview, Brian Johnson revealed that, for the first time since the 1988 album Blow Up Your Video, he will be handling lyrics. He also said that Angus Young has written harder riffs than those on Stiff Upper Lip.[66] In a 2005 interview, Johnson confirmed that the band does not know when the album will be recorded, or who will produce it. Malcolm Young has said that the new album has "gotta be perfect".
