The Institutes President Had This to Say !

Commenting on the survey, CPA President Brendan Allen said: “While we welcome the finding that most employers will either retain or increase job levels, there are other findings that are of deep concern and should be noted by Government and the social partners. The fact that almost half of the respondents expect deterioration in the business climate is worrying, as is the finding that almost one-third of respondents believe that Ireland will be a difficult location in which to do business in 2008”.
“We would also ask Government and the regulator to take note of the fact that a large majority of respondents believe that the lack of broadband is a major issue for Irish business. Ready availability of high-speed broadband is a must for the development of the Irish economy and we would ask Government and Comreg to ensure that no obstacles are placed in the way of a national high-speed broadband service becoming a reality,” Mr Allen stated.

This would be an invitation to Ryan to stop deluding himself and lying to us.

It would be yet another invitation to Comreg to abolish itself so that something useful may replace it.

The following was put to them. ( page 24 )

The lack of availability of broadband is a major issue for Irish businesses

49% Agreed Strongly with the Statement
    27& Agreed Less Strongly

    ONLY 9% DISAGREED

What a bloody awful mess :(

Essentially then 76% of businesses believe that bb availability is an issue. This is a serious figure
and dare I say it nothing short of a national disgrace.
I'd love to see how the propaganda machine works that into a positive spin.

Eamo really ought to get out of d4 a bit more. He (and his bicycle, that Karlin loves) ought to use
some public transport to visit a few hospitals and see how those quaint country people live.
When he's out of the d2/d4 "axis of evil" he could use his environmentally friendly laptop to
get some wireless bb service (saves on copper) and he could blog about his experiences
    among the headhunters of Ballinaclash.

Well some 18% of survey participants work in the public sector so it could also be that 76% of public accountants believe that the government they work for and also Comreg have utterly failed to deliver proper broadband .

Well he only really has to cross the canal to lie to us all in the Dáil ! Less than 10% of the Institute believe he has a clue from the look of things .

Greens don't lie, that would harm a fish in Mongolia, that has been scientifically proven
by some committee or other somewhere.
