    Ok fellow aviation enthusiasts.

What are your wishes for 2008 ? ( obviously within the Aviation field :) )

Going to get your PPL ?
Want to see Aer Lingus start new services into somewhere ?
Want to see a specific type of aircraft ?
Want to get into the gold circle ?
Want to ride in a specific type of aircraft ......... ?

    As for me ,

Well this year I went in too many aircraft , I would like to spend less time on them !
Wouldn't mind flying in a glider for the first time ever .
Would LOVE to travel first class on the A380 when it comes out .

    1) Regain my Gold Circle membership - should be easier now EI's back on Gatwick-Dublin.

    2) See more expansion from EI - mainland UK base or similar. That or more direct entry purser opportunities in Belfast, purely for selfish reasons. :)

    3) See Ryanair taken down a notch or two.

    4) See easyJet make an appearance in the Republic again (selfish reasons again, very very unlikely).

    5) Fly on the A380.

    6) See improvements at Dublin.

    Merry christmas fellow aerogeeks :)

Start training for the ppl in October when I'm 16!
Don't really care after that....it would be nice to see a bit of progress in Galway, they are messin around trying to decide whether to extend the runway or pack it up and move to a new location...needless to say I'd prefer the extension as it's right beside my house!

    Darragh.

Have to say bmi Diamond Club is a much better scheme, better rewards, lounge is very good in Heathrow and although Dublin lounge is small I have always got a seat and prefer it to Gold Cirle lounge.

Also think bmi onboard service is better.

Ah but Heathrow's 50 minute's drive for me. Gatwick is 10 minutes walk. EI wins :)

Looking foward to the first flight of the F-35B which was rolled out yesterday, also the first flight of the 787.

To see the USAF fleet of F-15A-Ds returned to flight status after being grounded.

Can't see that happening any time soon, too much extra work and money if they get other a/c types.

The F-35 at RIAT '08, static display maybe.

There are only two F-35s right now. AA-1 has just returned to test flights after being grounded for nearly a year. It has flown 21 times so far.

Airframe BA-1 was only rolled out and won't fly till next year.

The F-22 at RIAT, that will be good. 70,000lbs+ of thrust to blow your ear drums and shatter your spine.:D

Would like to see this too. Shannon's of no use to me but always nice to see expansion in Irish airports (that aren't Dublin).

    - for Ryanair to keep their mitts off Aer Lingus
    - see the A380 somewhere
    - for the Galway Airshow get enough funding to hold a show this year

To see those responsible for the end to the Salthill airshow suffer really badly and come crawling on all fours, begging for it back in 2009! Then have them pay up front for the best airshow this country has ever experienced with NO restrictions!!!
