Mobile broadband sound interference with Skype call

    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has come across this issue with mobile broadband - I've just set it up for some family members and installed Skype and webcam (Creative Notebook Pro).

When making a call the receiver hears a tonne of interference/noise on the call, similar to that you get on a car/bus radio when a phone rings.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it fixable with a better headset? (this one is very poor quality - the earpiece that comes free with the webcam)

    Thanks,
    Alastair.

I presume you mean 3, O2, Vodaphone "mobile internet"?

It has very poor latency and often much lower upload speed than download. Sometimes Dialup works better for Skype.

Try it without video. It's unlikely to have the upload speed for Audio and Video very often.
