    What's the best way of checking specs for your engine? BHP etc.

    for newer cars, carzone has the info.
    for older cars use wikipedia, it's usually accurate on that sort of thing

    what's the car.

    Not much use for Irish tax specials like 1.4 VWs and 1.6 BMWs but lots of other stuff on there.

    I find carfolio the best way to find specs. They do have almost everything if you go finding it.

    Wikipedia gives you too much history on the car itsself, but not very much engine specifications.

    It's a Mk III Golf 1.8, Canadian model. There's a few different ones listed on Wikipedia. I'm not sure which one I have.
