Winter Bumble Bee

    I don't usually bother with pictures, but 4 threads planned, so making up for lack of input so far.

    This first one was of a bumble bee on the 12th Dec.

    This was at 0845, before the sun was up and air temp was 2C. I hastily tooks the pics through the kitchen window

    The bee is in the flower. The frost can be seen on grass in background.

    Here the bee has climbed out and is about to fly to next flower.

    I often see bees throughout winter, but I thought it a bit mad at this time of a cold morning before the sun was up.
