2002 VW Golf front bumper

    hi guys, anyone know how much a new front bumper for a 2002 1.4 golf (mark 4) would be? it has to be silver...is there anywhere that could do it before christmas or will i have to wait for them to order it? i assume a volkswagen delaer/service center is the best place to go?

    Can't really help except that the bumper will come black and have to be sprayed so you can add that cost... sorry.

    The quickest and probably the cheapest way would be to find a similar Golf with an undamaged bumper in a breaker's yard.

    If you want a new bumper then as already mentioned it will arrive in matt black and will need to be primed, sprayed silver and fitted. A VW dealer will probably charge you a small fortune to do this. Ring them for a quote.

    I think that www.micksgarage.ie can supply a new bumper cheaper than a main dealer but you will still need a body shop to spray and fit it. You will have to ring around for quotes though.

    Very unlikely you will get this done before Christmas. To be honest I would not want a rush job done on it anyway. I would rather wait and get it done properly though as a crap job will harm the resale value of the car.

    A new bumper will cost 100 - 150 euro in black or primer and a good spray job will cost 200 - 300 euro - you may be able to repair your own bumper cheaper depending on the damage - try vagdrivers.net you may get lucky??

    Also bear in mind that there are 4 or 5 different silver mk4 golfs

    You could also try traynors or any of the scrappies in the autotrader
