Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Streaming Video - Problems with File Names

    Hi,

Since the last software update I'm using my Xbox 360 to stream video from my PC via my wireless network. (If anyone is thinking of setting it up - DO - it's brilliant and a total entertainment centre all in one).

Anyway down to my question - I can browse all my files via my Xbox however if I change the file name on my PC it doesn't change on the Xbox. For example if I want to rename "Heroes.xvid.blah.blah.blah" to "Heroes" on my PC when I go to view the files on the Xbox it still shows "Heroes.xvid.blah.blah" despite the name having been changed correctly on the PC.

Has anyone any ideas on how to resolve this very minor problem in an otherwise excellent set up.

(Can you tell I'm a fan?)

    Cheers

Maybe try playing it for a second in Media Player. Might kick-start it somehow

    Nope - no good.

I'm not looking at the videos through Media Centre but through Videos using my PC as the source.

Bros123 - got it sorted. You need to refresh your library in Windows Media Player to ensure that the amended file name is correct in your library. The Xbox reads the info from the Windows Media Player Library and not from the actual file location. So unless you also change the name of the file in the WMP library it won't display the correct file on your Xbox.

    Sorted!!:):):)
