Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best Christmas displays in your county?

    Hey folks,

Just wondering what kind of Christmas displays there are around Ireland.

We used to go into town every Christmas eve and see the cool displays of Santa's workshop, etc., in shop windows. They don't do them on Grafton street anymore unfortunately :(

Anyone know where there's some good ones in Dublin? I heard around the IFSC.

And what displays did you used to go see when you were younger, and what do you go see now? In any county...

Ya - have to agree with you there, but Patrick Street itself is not very enticing this year - new lights shocking imo

Wow, how many years old is that now? There still hasn't been anything (or at least recorded and put on the net) that even compares to that since.

    This is pretty cool

Regarding what I've seen so far, haven't been impressed by any "displays". When Brown Thomas was that other shop previously, it had such a cool window display, Brown Thomas' own window display over the last few years has been absolute muck.

The old Switzers one was the best even had a story line. Nothing remotely close since they were taken over.

Okay I don't really care about all of your displays. Truth be told I just wanted Dublin answers cos I was going into town today with the family, but wanted lots of responses.

    muahahahahahahahahahaha....................... etc.....................

At least 2 I reckon. It was funny to see it posted up so often on AH, and even funnier to see a few of the regulars piss and moan whenever someone did post it.

That beer bottle tree was cool. Quite a lot of drinks between three people, but that's the price of art!
