I just got it for my laptop and it installed fine and starts up ok... then at the startup screen the mouse icon disappears?? Mad weird.... Anyone any suggestions as to what's going on??

Odd.. I have a laptop, runs fine... Do you have enough memory? How much RAM you got?

Yeah I've been playing FM games on my laptop since 06, and they run grand. Try turning off the sidebar if its Vista.
