Scanning Photos in Albums

Hi, Can anyone give any advice on how to scan old family photos which are in those albums that have a plastic cover sheet on each page. The plastic seems to be stuck to the photos so cannot be removed prior to scanning and it is causing some glaring when trying to scan "through" the plastic. (My sister has been trying this…

Hi,

The plastic seems to be stuck to the photos so cannot be removed prior to scanning and it is causing some glaring when trying to scan "through" the plastic.

(My sister has been trying this without any success on her scanner, don't know the model, and I will be using a Canon 5000F)

Maybe photography with appropriate light by very good camera could provide better results for post processing?
