Don't speak too soon. Liverpool 1 - Derby 1. Apparently Derby just had a brilliant chance too.

To lay Arsenal or not to lay Arsenal...what do ye reckon? I reckon we'll win but then again I'm a gooner ;)

Everyone i've talked to so far is saying this is a banker.

But again - my spidey senses are tingling.

    I'd go for a score draw - maybe 1-1

Then again, it is christmas so my spideyness could be out'a'wack:o

Arsenal are playing fantastic football but Pompey will be get stuck into them and I think it is so hard to call

Hmmm, I'm getting that strange feeling too. Might sit out the first hallf and see where I stand then.

Erin- it all comes down to - if you had €130~ would you put it all on Arsenal right now before the match? If not then lay, because that's money in your pocket now ya know. Althought I just checked the lay price on betfair now is 1.97 :( Much higher than u backed at.

I have 5 quid on 2-1 celtic.... it's 2-0 at the mo.... come on Dundee...

That's an excellent way of looking at it Brandon, never thought of it like that.

I believe the reason it's 1.85 is because it's on betfair multiples (betting against betfair themselves) so the 5% winning commission is factored into the price. ie. 1.85 * 1.05 = 1.94

After that dodgy first half I decided to lay a bit off to cover my stake. If Arsenal win I'll still be well up.

    Fingers crossed!

Oops. The Gooners seem to have mislaid thier cutting edge.

Man City- Blackburn - many goals you reckon?

    Mike.

Really? This smells of 1-1 to me. I was thinking of adding the game to an accu with a under 3.5 goals punt.

    Mike.

Yeah, i'd say it will be pretty boring, not many corners/yellow cards

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭jameshayes

there's a great bet on PP - Man City to win, Less than 10 corners & less than 45points

Saw that earlier and if I wasn't in Recovery Mode I'd have a go with a tenner.

I was looking at the goal scoring stats for both teams home/away and two goals, one each looks pretty likely
