Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nokia 6300 Question

    Hey,

I just got a Nokia 6300 for Christmas and was browsing through it today. I noticed that on the memory card that comes with the phone there are folders called predefmusic and predefvideos. There are also music folders and video folders there too. I was just wondering what these "predef" folders are for and can I delete them?

Yea, you can delete them. My phone (a N6234) came with predef everything. I just renamed them on the computer from predeftones to Tones etc.
It still worked, the only thing I noticed that happened was its icon changed to just a folder system, rather than the music note symbol

Can somebody post up the folders on the memory card? I backed up the card to my pc and then reformatted the card and now I don't have all the folders. I only backed up the ones that had files in them. Just the folder names I want. Thanks a million.

You don't need to have any specific folders as far as I know, you can have whatever folders I like, but I think you might need to tell the video recorder and the camera where to save the files. I don't have the 6300, just the 6234 but I'm sure its more or less the same. the folders I currently have are Images, Video Clips, Tones and Extra (with subfolders of Games and Collection)

    Hope this helps
    Tim

Most Nokias will recreate any folders they specifically need aswell.

Thanks for all your help. Just another question. How do I change the length of my dial tone? Example: If somebody rings me they get through to my voicemail after only a few tones.

How do I extend this time? Would I need to ring my network provider?

Go into call settings-divert and check the delay in there

    Alternatively, type in the following

    *61*(Phone Number)*11*(Delay in seconds)#
Example: your mobile number is 0851234567
    Mailbox number then is 08551234567

Delay in seconds is in multiples of 5, up to 30

So, to divert your mailbox after 30 seconds would be

    *61*08551234567*11*30#
