Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi people,i got a 360 a few days before xmas and really enjoying it so far but ive got a few questions if i may.

I only recently noticed i dont have a hdmi connection on the xbox.
Im currently using the component cable connected to my 1080i lcd tv.
This got me thinking and wondering should i have gone for an elite system?
Would i see much of a difference between component and hdmi inputs?
Also im downloading lots of demos and my 20 gig had is almost full :(

I think i recall reading a few posts here about trading in for an elite system somewhere.
Can anyone shed some light on this and if indeed i should go for one considering my 360 is less than a week old?

Well, I wouldn't bother, at the end of the day, HDMI is just another way to connect your TV to your Xbox.

And, you'll soon tire of some demo's and delete them. It's just because the demo's are a novelty at the moment. I can't remember the last time I downloaded a demo actually.

Also, you could just buy the 120GB HDD of ebay or something instead of buying a whole new system.

if I were you, no, I wouldn't get an elite.

Yeah cheers for that, ive just read some articles and not one said hdmi was worth it.
Most say they barely noticed a difference unless you have a 50" + screen.

Might be worth looking at getting a VGA cable (MS official is best), that's what I use rather than component and picture is pretty excellent on my 42" plasma.

I wonder if you could trade it in and the buy a newer xbox? I had never used hdmi until I got my xbox and I must say it looks nicer.. Less sharp as non hdmi tvs but it looks nicer defo..

downloading demos will wear off I was the same when I 1st got mine!!

am drunk sorry if that makes no sense :D
