Black Box when playing Oblivion

When I start Oblivon I get a black box that appears at the bottom of the screen. It sometimes happens when I start my pc: the computer is too far to the top and I am unable to see anything at the top of the screen. I just click my auto-adjust button on the monitor and then it goes back to normal. This doesn't work on…

When I start Oblivon I get a black box that appears at the bottom of the screen.

This doesn't work on Oblivion, the top of the screen is missing and the bottom of the menu is there but too far up, with the bottom space being filled with a black box.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
