Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My ethernet cable is in the back of my modem, and in the back of my Console. I have a netopia 3341 modem with Eircom Broadband in Ireland. When i plug in my Ethernet cable to the modem, the lights don't light up. At all. I'm getting the 'Network Adapter' Disconnected message. When infact it is connected.

So, I dunno what to do. This is a picture of the back of my modem, if that helps. Only one ethernet port:

Here's what my Modem Homepage shows when the ethernet Cable Is connected, If this helps:

See, it says it's disconnected, when it's connected, I think this could be the problem, possibly..

Any help would really really be appreciated.

Hmmm, it could simply be that the Ethernet port is broken. I had that router and that's exactly what happened. If the light isn't lighting up it means the ethernet port has nothing connected.

UNLESS, you have the ethernet plugged into the router and not plugged into the xbox OR the xbox isn't on.

I would suggest giving eircom a buzz and asking for a new router as that one is faulty or if you don't mind investing in a new router, get one.

If you have mates with a router, ask for a quick lend of one and see if the ethernet light lights up on theirs under the same situation, if it does, you know for sure that it's a faulty router. I would say it's probably a faulty ethernet port as it happened to me with that exact router.

    Best of luck.

that router must be ancient, tell eircom its broken and they will send you a new one free of charge
