.22 sporter for target

I'm looking to buy a .22 sporter rifle which will be used purely for target shooting, and have no idea what I'm after. Licencing shouldn't be a problem, know a local guard very well and I'm a member / RO of DURC.
Looking for something ~€500 which I can purchase in Ireland. Needs a two stage trigger, that's about the only criteria.
It would be mostly shot standing, with some occasional prone. I was kind of thinking maybe I should just get a .22 target rifle and I could attach a scope if I wanted, and also have a set of metal sights for competition style training.
Any advice on what I should be looking at?

Have you played with zaraba's CZ? It's pretty nice. Dunno if it can be fitted with a two stage trigger though.

I haven't but it does look amazing! I must ask him in the new year.
