    OK, so whacking snakes for fun is cruel and unneccessary, but this ep DOES have its funny moments:

    * When Lisa's school music teacher is sitting on a bench and freaks out a little at a bug on his shoulder and is then knocked over by fleeing snakes

    * Maggie shoving her soother into a hissing snake's mouth and it starts sucking on it

    * 'Born Free' playing when the snakes are released back into the wild



    I'm not sure if anything like Whacking Day actually exists but in the US there are Rattlesnake Round-ups where rattlesnakes are rounded up, put on display to be stared at by slack-yawed yokels and then killed and made into trinkets and snake meat. Poor snakeys

    lol that was random! but yeah it was funny except for the whole animal cruelty aspect, go Lisa! lol. that's mean about the rattlesnakes even if they wouldn't care if they killed one of us but still.
