I'm viewing an FTO in the morning 1.8 Auto with 90k on the clock. Are there any things besides the normal...t-belt, tyres etc... that would be specific to the FTO or the like

Just dont get frustrated with the "Sorry we dont take new business for this car". You will get it a lot. They classify it as a group 6 for some reason.

Yeah, the 1.8 is not the same animal as the 2.0 a'tall.
Had a Manual 2.0 a few years back.
Noisy tapets, alarm packed in and air con needed to be re-gased.
Other than that I just put petrol in it.

the tappets on the non MIVEC are adjustable, noisy tappets are quite common after start up on 2.0 FTO's.
