Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello

I've college exams next week and need to access some notes on microsoft excel

I don't have word, excel etc. installed on the pc

Is there a way of downloading excel? and , if so, where ?

I saw somethin about a 60 day free trial download but that was only for businesses or something ?

I would be very grateful for any advice

    Thanks
    The one, the only,
    Bobby D

This is a free alternative & can open & save in Microsoft Office formats.

Yep openoffice.org is the way to go,

All you have to do is file and choose save as. and either choose .xls or .doc

    best of luck

If you just want read/print the files then you could save yourself some time and download the Excel viewer here it's only about 10Mb in size. I think they Microsoft have simliar viewers for Word and Powerpoint.

If you want to edit the files then like the other posters said Open Office is the way to go.

You can download just a viewer for Excel if you only need to view it...all Microsoft office products come with free viewers.

    you said notes ON excel
the free down load is for Office 2007 , which has a very different interface to earlier versions so don't bother unless your notes are very specifically for that version

to manipulate excel files then openoffice will handle most of them, menus are a little different because of "look and feel" copyrights
