Following it all day on Discovery Channel, I love this show but due to work and training committments I miss a good bit of it.

But I was shocked just now seeing Ricky leave the show.

I thought himself and Jock was kindlered spirits, sad to see an an to this partnership.

    What happened?.

Anyone know whats in store with the new series?

He left at the end of last year's series too. I guess it's just a temporary summer job, he probably has family, full-time job, and the rest back home.

New series won't be filmed until next summer (provided there will be another series).

Yea it was a big surprise... I get the impression that he felt he was doing alot of the work & trouble shooting in the garrage and felt a little out of his dept....

On the last show he was on he had stripped down the 2 cylinder heads of a V8 range rover engine ( broke the timing chain guide, which i guess means the timing chain covers had to come off too... ) then that night he decided to pack it in.... so jock was left with a range rover in about 100 pieces, and was very very pissed off

I suspect they just all leave at the end of each season.
Jock keeps one or two permanent staff for the quiet off season and the others head back to proper jobs.

There's one episode left isn't there - I bet the other two head off during it.
Incidentally, I really really hope the show isn't indicative of garages here.

He was a hopeless mechanic anyway, jock had to pretty much hold his hand all the time. sandy from the first series was good though.

The young fella, Ross, who specialises in BMW stays on for the off season... As well as Gynn of course. The ferrari man got the chop.

Rikki lives with his Mum in Doncaster. He had to give up jobs, both times that he came out to work for Jock.

Ricky seems to be a bit of a waster who runs away from a job when the going gets tough.

I've missed the last couple of episodes myself, how is that Cortina they are restoring getting on?

"Tina" wasnt finished. They did get it back from the bodyshop and nearly got it all back together but they couldnt get it started. A voltage regulator was faulty so they had no ignition lights.

Great show, it does reflect the "Craic" most workshops have which is very important to have a good operating one.

Ricky was'nt really that great at all, he was just lucky most of the time. He left because the R.Rover was a nasty job. You just cant keep being handed the easy ones all the time.

The Ferrari guy seemed like he knew what he was on about!:D
