Got mine today in Smyths Carrickmines. I signed up for that text message thing, but I didn't recieve anything. I just happened to ring them today, and they said they got a delivery of 200. I got there at about 7pm, and there were I'd say less than 40 behind the counter! The guy behind the counter asked if I got the text message, and I said no. I didn't explain that I'd signed up to get it, and he still gave me one, so I think the general public are safe in the knowledge they can pick one up if they get to the store before they sell out again.

Yeah, got mine from Smyths Athlone yesterday, those text alerts are really conveinent. But I'm loving the aerobic excercises...Yoga is fun but tough and the balance ones are really tough. Fareplay to Smyths for those texts

Also, to convert your weight to stones/lbs, set your Wii to reside in the United Kingdom

i've had this for about 2 weeks now and i have to say it's mighty fun.

and it's had a benefit too, i've lost 5 pounds using it. as long as you don't think it will lose ya weight by itself then it's a great product imo.

Yeah got mine in tescos today.. virgin and gamestop had it aswell, most places seem to have it back in stock..its so fun..balance is hard, as is yoga but you can feel it working, its class and the board is solid aswell which is good.

Does anyone know if its possible to change da weight measurements from kgs to lbs or stone!! Kgs mean nothing to me!!

To convert kg's to pounds, multiply the kg's by 2.2.

    And there's 14 pounds in a stone.

iirc the default unit used is regional, and only the UK gets the measurements in lbs on WiiFit.
If you really want it in lbs, I think (not sure) you can change the country on the Wii menu somewhere.

Got Wii Fit at wknd in Harvey Norman - they'd only five left and apparently it was the first time since it was launched that they actually had them out on the shelves. I'd asked in a good few shops before that and they were all sold out too. If anyone wants it for xmas, now is the time to order, according to many of the shops. I love it, although my muscles were killing me yesterday due to it's addictive nature. recommend it to anyone, as long as you're doing other exercise too. Love the way it can tell if you rest your foot on the ground during the workouts!

For anyone interested I am now a proud wii fit owner

I picked one up in tullamore xtravision last night. They had a few in stock, not sure how many tho .

The local gamestop there had a sign saying wii fit now in stock! I'm a dub and it only took me just under an hour to get there thanks to the new M6 motorway so it's fairly close! :D

Jaysus, moved home recently and my mother had one of these, unopened, thought I'd give it a go since I cant afford to renew my gym membership.

I'll have to say I was very suprised at how well it works!
I'm not long after playing years of rugby and lifting weights and I can say this gives me a good workout!

Very entertaining too, more entertaining then trying to breathe in the freezing air outside at the moment! Looking forward to see what kind of results I can get with just this (and diet of course).
I think I'll find it quite easy to use everyday without getting bored/sick of it.

I found a good page called 'Top 5 Wii Fit Tips' today, it's written by a personal trainer. Good for anyone actively using it to try and get fit.

Really? Got the last one in Tesco Carrick-on-shannon last weekend, €84.99.
Thought their prices would have been consistent..

    A Wii or Wii Fit?

    Wii Fit:
Argos is €80, but never seems to be in stock
Tesco seems to be €80 or €85
    Think Xtravision is €90
Smyths is €90, as are Toymaster (the one in Carrick anyway)

    Maybe this?

Back on Wii Fit, notriced something odd last night. Got it a couple of weeks ago, had my Wii setting set to Ireland, so everything was in kgs. According to the graph I'd lost 1.1kg. Gf asked me to change it to imperial, so changed my Wii settings to United Kingdom (is there any other way of doing this?) and Wii Fit display is now in lbs. Except it now shows that I've lost 1 lb. 1.1kg is just under 2.5 lbs, so where's my other 1.5 lbs gone?

Just wondering if anyone else switched setting and noticed any anomalies.

As far as I know the only way to have your weight displayed in lbs is to put your Wii's location setting to United Kingdom. When I did this however it messed up my Wii's internet connection so I had to put it back to kgs
