Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vodafone 3G phone as modem - Rates etc?

Is anyone using their PAYG 3G phone as amodem to connect to the internet? What is the speed like and the cost?
I am a bit confused by the Vodafone website as regards pricing. I'm not sure if the rates mentioned only apply to using the internet on the actual phone.

    It mentions these options:
    Bundle - Modest 15MB €10 incl. VAT
    Bundle - Medium 25MB €15 incl. VAT
Pay as you use - 2c per kb (VAT inc) up to 512 kb / 0.5c per kb over 512kb*

Are the bundles available on PAYG?
Also, How much data would be used for general surfing, roughly?
    Thanks

those bundles are bill pay only. the speed is managable but the cost is 2c/kb. if you plan to do anything besides text only pages, be prepared to remortgage your house.

for example, if you go to www.yahoo.com, loading the logo alone would cost 4c. when i save the page it tell me its 147KB, which means it would cost just under €3 to view it with the phone
