This weekend is full of games, 32 FA Cup Games, 2 Leage one games, 7 league two games and a load of scottish & spanish games!

Traditionally one of the top 4 gets knocked out in this round. Who will it be?

    Arsenal
    Man Utd
    Chelsea
Man City(lol, i'm not including Liverpool anymore)

I'm considering QPR +2 @ 7/5. Chelsea have loads out injured and everyone else needs a rest. Plus they have the carling cup semi on the 8th. It's a derby game too, so QPR should have plenty of support there.

I think Man Utd will have problems in Villa Park, They normally have a great record there but with Tevez out it may be a problem..

Sounds like a good bet QPR seem to be hitting a bit of form lately also

Villa could be huge value here at 7/2 depending on what team United put out.

Pressure is on all round this year and resting players is always Fergie's way but there is a week before their next game.
I'll definitely be watching out for the team news.

I wouldn't get carried away yet, definitely wait for the teams. United may well have a very strong team out. Tevez won't be there but Rooney could be back.

But it is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Havn't really been able to pick out any outsiders worth backing so i'm stuck with a pack of odds-on shots. I was going to back then all separately until i realised Ladbrokes are the best price i can get on 4 of my 5 selections.

So i'm doing a rare acca.

    Blackburn 4/11
    Norwich 4/9
    Fulham 4/11
    Birmingham 4/5

Knowing Ladbrokes they'll tempt in people with these prices then cut cut cut!

The odd one out of my 5 picks is Portsmouth away to Ipswich at 11/10 with Boylesports. I see them as 10/11 shots. I know Ipswich are great at home but this is Premier League class coming. Plus Portsmouth have recently been happier on their travels.

I would go with an Ipswich Portsmouth draw TBH

Tottenham look bang on to beat Reading at around 1-2

Probably going with a double of Newcastle and Portsmouth to win. Anyone know if Portsmouths African players are still around? Could be a change of heart if they have already gone.

They leave after the Ipswich match so change of heart needed

Longshot but reckon its worth a 5er on the acca
Blackpool 9/4 (in flying form recently)
Sheff Utd 9/2 (reckon Bolton will rest most players,Utd very strong underperforming squad)
    Spurs 2/5
Bristol City 15/8 (again Boro might rest a few, southgate complained of tiredness after the game on tues)

    30/1

Sheff Utd have scored 3 goals in the last 8 games since Dec 1st, and striker James Beattie is out so I can't see them doing anything against Bolton who concede very rarely at home to top class sides. Bolton to win with a clean sheet is 8/5. A lot depends on whether Anelka plays or not.

I think the weather is going to mess up a lot of the weekend's games.

Nah the weather is westerly from now on so it'll be seasonal norm. It will be wet though.

I have revised my 1 euro bet (I said I'd do no more accus but I think this will fly)

    Everton @ 1.20
    Swansea @ 1.20
    Arsenal -1.0 @ 2.10
    Stevenage @ 1.66

    8.06 EUR

    Singles
    ========
    Barrow @ 9/4 and win/draw @ 8/11. They're on a good run and banging in goals.
Coventry + 2 and Ipswich + 1 @ 4/6 each. Possible shocks. Blackburn missing strikers, Ipswich strong at home, Portsmouth sliding a bit and have the African players on the bench cos of african nations thing..
Gloucester City, based on form, 13/8 win, 4/7 win/draw.
Brechin. In form side away to rubbish Berwick. 4/5.

    Main combo
    ==========
    Barrow And Draw.
Carlisle. Top side v bottom side with many players out.
Rochdale. Good unbeaten run apart from draws with Mansfield and Wrexham.
Inverness. Strong home record, have taken -1 handicap as well.
Hamilton. Top side on plastic pitch v bottom side.
Ebbsfleet United. Opponents Weymouth have huge problems, manager refuses to select top scorer etc.
    QPR +3. Safer than + 2 but still good value @ 1/2.

My bet is Carlisle Everton and Inverness CT
    €50 pays €135

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,698 ✭✭✭IrishMike

    Inverness 3-0 at half time
    Carlisle 2-0 down
    Maddness.
3 place team at home vs bottom of the table team with loads of injuries and are 2-0 down.
How the hell do i keep picking these matches lately.
Have rangers under 3.5 goals and they are 2-0 at half time
Could be one very very bad day at the office

Light at the end of a very dark tunnel perhaps?
Carlisle 2-1 down now and rangers still only 2-0 after 60mins

Carlisle 2-2 and rangers still 2-0 after 70mins
    But everton are 1-0
My poor heart is not able for this

Carlisle 3-2 Ah hell yes :D
Come on everton (cant believe i have said that)
