Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Xbox HD-DVD player

    Hi guys just after buying a HD TV and looking to buy the HD DVD player. Ive been trying to download 300 HD version for the last week and it keeps failing. Where would be the cheapest place to get it? Is the 5 free DVD offer still open?

    The offer is still on. You can get it in gamestop for €159 afaik. Your download shouldn't be failing, your firewall is prolly on, or the correct ports not opened for your NAT.

    MY router is a netopia which is set to low,should firewall be off?

    Does the download begin at all? It will work fine on low but you'll need to forward the ports through your NAT if you can't connect at all. More info on that at www.portforward.com

    No leave it at low. How are you connected to live, ethernet or wireless?

    It starts and will get to about 60% and then fail.......very annoying. Would perfer to get the hd-dvd player now!

    In that case it's probably nothing to do with your connection unless it's dropping. Xbox Live isn't fully back online yet (I couldn't even access the marketplace yesterday) so I'd blame that.

    Yes I have enough hard disk space,it most just be the servers cant cope with the xmas rush! Want to get the hd-dvd player,does anyone know the best place to get it and is the 5 DVD offer still open?

    I've been trying to download the Matrix for a fewe days now, it got to 36% and hasnt restarted since. very annoying. so it isnt your settings it seems to be Live is still messed up.
