Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Growing out hair dye?!?!

    Hello there.......

Right, well I last had my hair dyed at the beginning of October. I'm naturally a dark blonde...lighter in certain lights etc. but I find it a very "nothing" colour. So I built up from having a half head to a full head of blonde highlights over the last year. However, grew tired of them...felt the colour just yellows and also wasn't sure it suited me at all. Trying to grow it out now...but a bit despondent over the fact that people are telling me it takes at least a year!!! I already have roots at the moment obviously, three months in, but I'm dreading the thought of a two tone head! Is there any way to speed up the process(miracle shampoo?!). Any tips on keeping my hair looking half way nice? Thanks!

My advice would be get yourself to a hairdresser they may be able to put a dark brown over it or strip the clr out.
I had my hair stripped before to get blonde out of it and it worked out fine I am dark brown now, once you hair is in good condition and you go to good hardresser it should be ok.
Do'nt believe all of the horror stories about getting a clr stripped out of your hair. :p

Yeah...see... my hair is fairly lacklustre (to put it very mildly) since I dyed it. It's sooooo dry and the ends are in bits. Don't know much about stripping...but a lot of people on this forum seem to think it's a bad idea!?!?

Dye your hair back to your natural colour (as close as you can) and let that grow out. Hardly anyone will notice. :)

Yeah, def the best way to go is to dye it as close to your natural hair colour. I know that when my sister dyed her hair and then regretted it her hair dresser recommended Fairy liquid! Didn't really work though.

Also, can you strip hair that's been bleached? Doesn't seem as if it would be possible.

I've never seen a hair dye that matches my natural colour! It's hard to describe accurately! I think I'll just grin and bear it for the next year
