sweex router

    howdy,

    have my broadband working through a sweex lw055 router via DHCP

    Does ANYONE know how to change the lease timer on one of these routers?! It's default is 86400 seconds or 24hrs. Any idea how i can change this to never? cos it takes ages to renew.

    I've trawled the sweex site, they don't even have any firmwaRE upgrades that i thought might help.

    The router software only has a DHCP on or off check box.

    starting to annoy me a bit.

    Why don't you just give your computer a fixed i.p. address rather than set it to dhcp ? Or am I missing something here ?
